. The Wellington Garrison Rifle Association's second annual meeting opened at Trentham yesterday morning. The competitors include riflemen from ChristchurchjMas'crton, Ekyt=ihnna, Carterton, Palmorston at d other country towns/ R. J. Kinc, of Opaki, put on a ten shot pissible at 500 yards, winning the second match, while H. Marshall, of Karori, won the ten shot 200 vards match with 48 out of a possible 50. F. Wilkie, of Upper Hutt, put on 65 out of 70 in a match at 500 and 600 yards, and is leading for the championship with 155, lieutenant Hawthorne, of Wellington, and R. J. King, of Opaki, being next, each with 154.
