THE GERMAN NAVY.

A HEW YEAR MANIFESTO.

GERMANY MUST NOT DIVERT FROM NAV/iL EXPANSION.

•NAVY LEAGUE APPEAL

United Press'Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright. Received January 2, 5.5 p.m. BELRIN, January 1. 'lhe German Navy League's new year manifests appeals to Germany not to be diverted from naval expansion by any consideration whatever, and makes special reference to the speeches of English statesmen and Admirals against Germany, and also to the soothing siren sung intended to allure German st-jersmen from their course. Adverting to the rumours of a reconciliation agreement the manifesto declares that it is the duty of every patriot to suppress all endeavours that foreign countries could interpret as weakness.
