SCULLING.
By Telegraph—Press Asso nation. WANGAWUI, January 2. Interest is now being taken in the training operations of the contestants injthe sculling Handicap to he held on Thursday and Saturday next. All scullers are out on the river twice daily and seem to be in good nick. All express themselves as feeling well. Arnst is expected to arrive from the south'on Monday afternoon. He will train from the Union Boating Club shad, and his appearances on the river are sure to be eagerly watched. Webb is training from his own shtd at Aramoho, and consequently is not seen a great deal on the lower reaches. He is reported to be not feeling though he is expected to put up a good race, Whelch will not_start,' as he had just entered on a grass seeding contract.
