TAXATION OF RACING CLUBS.
AN AUCKLAND PROTEST. By Telegraph—Press Association. AUCKLAND, December 22. The Auckland Racing Club Committee decided to forward a telegram to the Premier and Mr Massey, emphatically protesting against any increase in taxation in the present racing year, as programmes have been framed on the understanding that the only tax to provide for was the totalisator tax. The Committee urges that if the Act js passed the increase in taxation should be on the net revenue
