From Our Resident Reporter. Saturday. Last evening the annual distribution of piizes under the auspices of the Sunday School at Parkvale took pljce. All the children, over forty in number, received a prize. Five obtained the maximum number cf marks (481 for attendance,and received special attendance prizes, while Alexander Andersen received a special attendance prize, having been only absent one Sunday. The children who secoured the attendance prizes were Jean Bower, Archie Hawke, Jonann L. Andersen Henry Rayner, and Mary Andersen. Ihree specials have been promised for the ensuing year, to be awarded ior the best behaved child in the school, for the best prepared home lessons, and for the bost behaved scholar out of school. The winding up ceremony for. the Christmas vacation of the Clareville Maori Colleere took place this afternoon. The examination, which has been delayed, is to be held on Monday. The Kev. C. Eaton is conducting the Methodist Sunday School anniversary services, and during his brief stay here is the guest of Mr and Mrs D. T. King, of Broadway.
