PALMERSTON NORTH WOOL AND SKIN SALE.

Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report as follows: —We held our monthly sale on Friday, December 10th, and submitted a fair catalogue to a good attendance of buyers. Bidding throughout was most spirited, and every line was sold at prices satisfactory to growers. Woo]: We offered 20 bales and fadges and 140 sacks of wool and prices ranged as follows:—-Romney, 9|d; crossbred, fine, B?>d to 9fd; crossbred, medium, 6|d to BJd; half-bred, 7d; dead, 6§d to 7Jd; lambs, 8d to B|d; black, 6d to 7d; dead and locks, 3fcd; bellies and pieces, 3fd to 5Jd; crutchmgs, 4£d to sfd. Skins- Our offering comprised 2,000 skins, and pelts. Halfbred realised 8fcl; crossbred, medium, fine, 6Jd to B|d: crossbred, medium, s£d to 7d; crossbred, inferior, 4£d to sd; dead and damaged, 3fd to s|d per lb; dead hoggets, 4£d; lambs, 4d to 6£d; black, 4|d; pelts, 3Jd to 43d; butcher's skins at per piece; crossbred, medium, 5s 8d to 6s 8d: crossbred, fine, ss, 7s to 7s 9d; lambs at per piece, Is lOd; salted pelts, Is, Is 8d to 2s. Calfskins: Prices were not quite so good as at last sale. We sold 750 calfskins as follows:—Good sound, 9Jd, 9|d, 9fd to 10|d per lb; others from 4d to 7§d per lb; yearlings, at B§d each. Hides: We offered 300 large hides. Ox, heavy, realised 7|cl; medu.m, 7d to 7Jd; cow, heavy, 6d to 6Jd; medium, 6£d to 6fd; light, 6d to 6gd; heifers, 6d to 6Jd; steers, 3|d. Sundries: Tallow, casks, £23 5s per ton: tins, £2l 10s per ton; rough fat, 8s per cwt; horseair, Is; c:> wtails, Is 3d per dozen.
