METEOROLOGICAL.
By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, December 10. ihe following is Rev. D. C. Bates' summary and forecast: —A change for southerly winds and cooler weather has taken place to-day. The conditions have been generally fine but gloomy. The present indications are for cloudy and unsettled weather generally, and rain probably in most parts. The barometer will probably rise in the northern districts and fall in the south, the steeper gradients accounting for strong southerly westerly winds with cooler weather. Mr J. u Boddington reports that the rainfall registered at the Upper Plain for the 24 hours preceding 9 a.m. on Friday was 17 points.
