MISS HAMPTON'S SCHOOL.
ANNUAL DISTRIBUTION OF PRIZES. Tne annual social and distribution of prizes in connection with Miss Hampton's school was held in S. Matthew's Schoolroom, last evening. A large number of pupils and their parents and friends attended and a most enjoyable evening was spent. The following programme of items, was rendered by the pupils in a most satisfactory manner, all the items being well received, showing the careful preparations the girls had undergone Pianoforte duet, "Gipsy Rondo," Misses Nora Dagg and Helena Kummer; "Merchant of Venice," Act 11., Sc. 7 and 9: Miss Myra Caselberg; "Prince of Morocco," Miss Gladys Quaintell; "Prince.of Arraion," Miss Btryl Caseftberg; "Nerissa," Miss Jean Sellar; "Servant," Miss Chris. Hosking: recitation, "Babies' Burdens," Missed Marjorie Graham, Marjorie Daniell, "Rita Elliott, Eila Elliott, Uladys Gully, I- a McFadzean; pianoforte solo, "Hesitation, 4 Miss Eileen Bagg; recita ion, "Dorothy's Mistake," Miss M. Daniell; drill, dumbbells, by children of lower school; physical exercises, senior girjs; recitation, "A Naughty Little Person," Mis? Eila Elliott (encored); recitation, "A Leap for Life," Miss B. Sewing—Marjorie Graham. Improvement—Gladys Gully. Improvement —Clara Cros3. Improvement—Clarence Watson. Spelling and reading Marjorie Graham. Drill—Marjorie Daniell. Spelling and reading—Rita Elliott. During the evening, the Rev. W. Raine, in a complimentary speech, made presentations to the Misses Hampton on behalf of the scholars, and he referred to the good feeling that had always existed between! the pupils and teachers. Some of the pupils' work was exhibited at the social, and was highly commended by all present as testifying to the artis ic ability of t! e pupils.
