THREE WOMEN ILL. RESULT OF EATING TINNED FRUIT. By Telegraph—Pres3 Association. BLENHEIM, December 8. Yesterday Mrs Scott-Smith, wife of the local Magistrate here, and her daughter and a servant part;, k of tinned fruit for lunch. Soon afterwards they became ill and on a doctor being summoned he stated that the three women were suffering trom ptomaine poisoning. The servant was removed to the hospital. The victims are better today and will probably recover.
