*THE WOODVILLE MEETING. By Telegraph —Press Association. WOODVILLE, December 7. The weather promises to be favourable for the opening day of the Woodville District Jockey Club's meeting. Most of the horses engaged have put in an appearance and the course is in good order. The following horses have been withdrawn from all engagements:— Yorkshire, Hiwera, Bourrasque, Flingot and Axite.
WAIRARAPA NOMINATIONS,
Nominations for all events to be run at the Wairarapa Racing Club's summer race meeting on January Ist and 3rd, 1910, will close with the secretary, Mr E- A. Laery, Featherston, at 8 p.m. on Friday next.
ATHLETICS
MANGATAINOKA sports,
Nominations for the handicap events at the Mangatainoka sports meeting on Boxing Day will close with the secretary, Mr J. A. Walsh, Pahiatua, at 8 o'clock to-night.
