BAD LOSERS.

UNFAIR CRITICISM.

Received December 7, 9.50 pm. LONDON, December 7.

A meeting of first-class County Captains at Lords passed a resolution of regret at a certain section of the press exploiting cricket in an unworthy manner. C. B. Fry, speaking at the Authors' Club, complained of the tendency to introduce into cricket an atmosphere of bitter, personal criticism. It was no disgrace to be beaten by the Australians, but he had never seen such an exhibition of*bad losing as was shown by a large section of the British press.

Spotforth, the ex-Australian player, suported Mr Fry's protests against the running down of players.
