DROWNING ACCIDENTS.

Oliver Johnston, aged about 25, single, a rabbiter, was drowned in the Aohanga river, at the crossing to Handyside's station, about nine o'clock, last night. Ernest Cooling, a shepherd, single, was drowned in the same river at the Waiotikei ford, about 10 o'clock, last night. The river was flooded on account of the heavy thunderstorm which occurred yesterday afternoon along the Puketoi range. WELLINGTON, December 6. Advice from Blenheim states that Arthur William Tolhurst, aged 23, a native of New Sodth Wales, wts drowned to-day white'bathing'ln the Opawa river.
