VIOLENT GALE.
SHIPPING DISASTERS. MANY PERSONS DROWNED. United Press association—By Electric Telegraph Cop.\rigiit. Received Decemoer 5, 5.5 p.m. LONDON, December 4. A violent gale is raging on the British coasts. The steamer 'lhistlemor blew tip and foundered with her ctjw of 30 off Clovelly. Four bodies have been washed ashore. The steamer Elland, hound from Anvoin, Isle of Man, for Liverpool, foundered on the Mersjv bar Twentyon crew and twelve passengers were drowned. Much damage was dons inland.
