BOOTH CUP. The first match for the Bootli Cup was played on the local green yesterday afternoon, between three rinks from the Carterton and Masterton Cluba. The scores were as follows (Masterton players being mentioned first in each instance): —
T. Townsend, J. Hunter, J. Whittaker, J. W. Cochrane (skip) 13, lost to Roydhouse, Lindop, Phillpotts, Whyte (skip) 23. W. Pragnell, A. Mutrie, F. Dupre, J. Scott (skip) 14, lost to McPhee, Hughan, Lindop, Fisher (skip) 30. R. Rigg, J. K. Blinkhorne, 0. Pragnell, J. C. Ewington (skip) 27, beat Cave, Lightfoot, Downard, Baillie (skip) 17. Masterton will meet Greytown at Greytown on Thursday next for the cup.
