PERSONAL.
Mr A. N. F. Angove, of the Napier Post Office staff, has been transferred to Masterton. Mr J. Stevens, who had been on the local Post Office staff for some considerable time, bas been trans ferred to Nelson, and left for that place yesterday. The friends of Mr Lee, of Masterton, will regret to hear that he is seriously ill. Mr G. H. Jenkinson, Inspector of Noxious Weeds and Rabbits, for the Welington district, is on a visit to Masterton.
Mr T. Crosse, tha well-known pastoralist of Hawke'a Bay, and Mrs Crosse, and Mr J. S. Handyside, of Akitio Station, who have been visit ing the Old Country, returned by the Athenic.
A presentation 19 to be made about the middle of this month by Sir Joseph Ward, on behalf of the Liberal party of the Dominion, to Mr E. Gallichan, organising secre tary, in recognition of his services to the party. Mr E. Arnold, J.P., is honorary treasurer to the plantation committee.
A very pleasing ceremony took place at the Masterton Railway Station, last night, when Mr A. D. Fowler, of the Incal clerical staff, was the recipient of a handsome brief bag as a token of esteem by the members of the staff on his being transferred to Foxton
Mr Victor Roy Minifie, died at Kelbume on Tuesday. He was for eight years a member of St. Peter's Church, Wellington, choir, and a member.of the Bidwill Stieet Tennis Club. He belongsd to the office staff at Te Aro Railway Station. The deceased, who was a very popular young man. wag the youngest son of the late Mr John W. Minifie, who was well known in musical circles.
