MISS HOOD'S PUPILS CONCERT.
AN ENJOYABLE ENTERTAINMENT. There was a very large attendance at Knox Hall last night, when a most enjoyable concert of pianoforte music was given by a number of Miss Hood's pupils. The attendance was so large that seats had to be placed in the aisle, and even then the doors were lined with quite an appreciative throng. Every item of a long and varied programme was received with applause, and at the close there was quite a noticeable reluctance to depart. It was the first puolic appearance of most of the performers, and allowing for slight nervousness occasionally they acquitted themselves admirably. The following is the programme:—Duo, two pianos, Wedding March (Mendelssohn), Misses I. Daniell, W. Jones, S. Grant and I. Haswell: two pianos, Waltz (Durand), Misses G. Tooby and I. [Haswell; two pianos, Gipsy Rondo (Haydn), Misses Nella Pragnell and Isa Jones; two pianos, A Winter's Tale (Esipoff), Misses M. Caselberg and Hood: duet, Maypole Revels, Misses E. Pinhey and N. Speedy: duo, two pianos, Mazurka (Schuloff), Misses G. Tooby, I. Haswall, E. Chapman and Master Tooby; two pianos, At Evening (Munroe), Misses E. Johnston and Hood; duet, PavanePompadour (Neustedt), Misses Isa Jones and Pragnell; two pianos, The Brooklet (Fsipoff), Misßes E. Concerto in G Minor (Mendelssohn), Misses W. Jones and E. W.
