The monthly maeting of the Managers of the Masterton Ted meal School was held last eveninj. There were preEent: —Messrs E. Feist (chairman), C. E. Daniel!,. Very Rev. Dean McKenna, E. H. Waddin^ton. '1 he Treasurer's statement for the month ending October 29th,. showdd:: Credit balance at last meeting,, £l2l Is 7d; class fees. £2O 10s; sale of hyloplate', £2 75.; overdraft at date,. £66 10s 2d; total, £2lO 8s 9d, Expenditure: {Salaries for the second term, .£l7l 18s; sundry accounts, £3B 10s 9d; total, £2lO 8a 9d. The statement for the month ending November 29th, shows—Receipts, including class fee third term,, £lB 12s 6d; third statement Trust grant, £33 6s 8d; total, £77 Is 2d; expenditure:, including overdraft at last meeting of £6J 10s 2d, making a. total of £77 Is 2d. The Education Department enclosed a copv of a schedule of an exhibition of works in wood to be held
next year in London. Mr H. Carter, Carterton, wrote aoplying for the position of instructor in oil and water color painting and drawing at the Masterton Technical School,, as he understood the position was shortly to be vacant.. The Education Department forwarded capitation payment from June 7th to August 28th amounting to £55 17s 9d.
The secretary of the M aster ton A. and P.. Association notified that his committee did not anticipate any difficulty in arranging tor a suitable supply of wool, for the woulclasses next year.
The secretary of the Wellington Education Board wrote stating that the examination of four candidates from the plumbing classes would be held respectively on Thursday, December 2nd and on Saturday,. December 4th, for theory ;»id practice.. Accounts amounting to £4 12s 3d were passed for payment*
