CRICKET.

Owing to several members of the Carlton Club not being abie to go to Carterton this afternoon, the Carlton Club have forfeited the match with Carterton.

The following teams will represent the married v single members of the Masterton Club in a match on Saturday next at the Park Oval. Other members of the Masterton Club, tmd all bona fide members of the United Club are requested to be on the ground to fill up the teams:— Married. -Logan, Perry, Edwards, Claughton. W. Iggul'den, Galwey, Moodie, L. Williams, C. Williams, Congdon, Moorehouse. Single.—Redmond, Esson, Thompson, Ibbetson, Mackellar, McKenzie, Blane, Simonson, B. Chapman, Fuller, M. Iggulden, Flavin, Wakelin. A special general meeting of members of S. Matthew's Cricket Club A and B teams was held last evening, Rev. H. Watson presiding over a good attendance. Correspondence was read from S. Mark's Cricket Club (Wellington) re die annual fixture to be played at Masterton on Boxing Day, and a committee consisting of Messrs V. Sutton, J. Berry, C. uole, F. Madsen, and P. Bennett were appointed to make the necessary arrangements for the trip. Mr J. Berry was elected captain of the A team, and Mr V. Sutton secretary, owing to the classification committee's decisions. Messrs P. Wilkie and F. Madsen were appointed extra members of the selection committees of the A and B teams, respectively. On the motion of Rev. Raine, it was decided to record in the minutes the club's appreciation of the services rendered to the club by the late captain of the A team, Mr F. Phillips, and the honour conferred on him by having been graded as a senior player.
