The decision arrived at at a caucus supporters that Parliament should reassemble in February in the event of all the Ministerial policy measures not being disposed of before the Christmas holidays, is one that will, we venture to believe, says the "New Zealand Herald," be viewed with satisfaction by the coun try. There has been in the past to> great a disposition to regard the duration of a Parliamentary session as arbitranly limited to three or four months, irrespective of the work requiring to be done. 'This has ted to many evils, among them being the familiar spectacle of Bills being rushed through in the dying hours of the session without debate or consideration or passed in such a crude and slovenly form as to render them practically inoperative.
