Stavely'second; 12 years and U'td.r, Kato Monnrieff first, Beryl Armstrong second. The trophy presented by Captain Surgeon Johnston to the Rifle Volunteers for a shooting competition in the senior division has been won by Corporal Whyte. Mr T. H. Hughes' trophy in the junior division has been secured by Private Harvey. The practical examination for non-com-missionel officers will he held on November 2fitb, when nine will sit for their certificates. Privates Whyt? and Reid have been appointed Corporals of the Corps, and Private Eagle Lance Corporal. Mr Coleman Phillips has donated 10s to the Small Birds Nuisance Society to assist them in carrying or the campaisn against the pssts.
