PUOFIT ON THE WORKING. MELBOURNE, November 20. The profits of tne Pacific Cable Board for the year 190S-1903 amount to £16,657 on the working of the cable. There has to be taken it,to account t..e annual repayment of trie cost of con.-truction. This amounts t> £77,544, leaving a deficit' of £'6(1,887, of which Australia pays £20,295, and New Zealand £G,765. Tnere was an increase ot 3,542 words on the total traffic of the previous year.
