WOMEN'S FRANCHISE.
ASSAULT ON MR CHURCHILL. SUFFRAGETTE SENT TO GAOL. Received November 18, 8.30 a.m. LONDON, November 17. Mrs Garnett, the suffragette, who assaulted Mr Winston Churchill with a dog-whip on his visit to Bristol in connection with the Colston's Day celebrations, has been sentenced lo a month's imprisonment in default of undertaking to keep the peace tor six months. ■
