The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency • Company, Limited, report on their Masterton fottnightly stock sale yesterday as follows:—In sheep we offered ewes and lambs, fat sheep and shorn two tooth wethers. For any strong well woolled ewes and lambs we had spirited competition, but poor were neglected although at the close of the sale only one pen remained unsold. In cattle we submitted ox and cow beef, store ■cattle and several bulls, all of which 'sold at good sound rates. In pigs the
entries were wenriers, and all selling froely. Best ewes ami lambs, well woolled and 100 per cent lambs, 20s; others 13s Gil, to l(5s; fat woolly hoggets, 14s 8d; forward 2-tooth shorn wethers/ 10s 9:1; fat bullocks, £7; prime fat cows £5. r is; store cows, £3; 2-year heifers 50s, calves, 24j; dairy bulls, £2 10s to £3 12s 6d; Shorthorns, £G 10s; extra good weaner pigs, 16s, small 9s to 10s, Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., rcpart as follows on their fortnightly sale at their Masterton yards, yesterday:—We offered a good yarding of cattle, which were woll competed for, and which were all practically cleared under the hammer. We had no sheep advertised, but all cattle came forward. We quote as follows: —Three and xour-yaar steers, £5 2s ! to £5 4s; two and a half year steers, £4 5s t) £4 7s; two-year steers, £3 12s to £3 16s; 20-month steers, £3; 20-month stears and heifers, £3 Is; Jersey hull, £3 ss. Pigs: Weaners, 14s 3d; porkera, 23s to 265. Our next sale will be held in the above mentioned yards on December Ist.
