OPAKI RIFLE CLUB.
FIRST FIELD DAY.
The Opaki Rifle Club held the first of two "field days,''on the Fairview Range yesterday. The aggregate score in yesterday's shooting, and another "field day," which is to take place later in the season will decide :he Club's championship. There was a very fair muster of members, but the boisterous nature of the weather made good scoring difficult. A number ot lady friends of the members were present, and pro • vided afternoon tea, which was greatly appreciated by those present. In spite ot the somewhat unfavourable day or shooting, a very enjoyable day was spent.
Rifleman M. Mcintosh scored the highest aggregate over all ranges, his total being 154 and wins a special trophy. Following are, details of the scores:— ' • Seven Shots, with Optional Sighter.
