A Labour deputation presented Sir Wilfrid Laurier the Trades Congress' resolutions against a Canadian Navy, and the extension of militarism in Canada. Sir Wilfrid Laurier defended the Government's action in the matter. LONDON, November 9. The Ottawa correspondent of "The Times" points out that many powerful parties m Canada prefer a direct contribution to the Admiralty though the balance of opinion may not be on their side.
