It is highly satisfactory to learn that the rare indications ot a general improvement of trade throuyh.iut the Dominion. The »ve <ues of employment are increasing, and renewed briskness is manifesting itself in various trades. Even Wellington, where the pinch of the recent depression was felt most acutely, is showing signs of rapid recovery. The Customs returns for the past month give encouraging evidence of increased activity. On the 'whole, therefore, the outlook before the Dominion-is bright and reassuring, and amply justifies the more hopeful spirit that is everywhere springing up.
