GUNS V. ARMOUR.
INTERESTING EXPERIMENTS. COMPARISON OF WARSHIPS. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright. Received November 3, 8.25 a.m. PARIS, November 2. Experiments upon the disabled warship Jena showed that guns beat the armour in every instance, and proved that no vessels were sufficient ly protected against the latest types of projectiles. It was also found to be essential that the whole of the vepsels should be uniformly protected. French vessels are considered to be bfctter protected than those of other nations. The battleship Danton, it is declared, would float though dismantled, while a Dreadnought or a German Nassau would sint like the Russian ships at Tsushima if hit on the waterline.
