UPPER PLAIN RAINFALL. Mr J. C. Bcddington reports that the rainfall registered at the Upper Plain for the,, 24 hours preceding 3 a'm. on Saturday was 2 points. Rain fell on 18 days in October, the maximum registered in 24 hours being 9 points on the 6th, the minimum being 1 point on the 11th. The total for the month was 3.54 inches, and the average during the previous five years 5.05 inches. The total for the ten months was 33.36 inches, and the average for the corresponding period during the cast five years 40.08 inches, consequently the present is so far 6.72 inches below the average.
