ROYAL COMMISSIONS.
LONDON, October 29. Lord Gorell (formerly Sir Gorel! Barnes, for many years judge and afterwards President of the Divorce Court) has been appointed chairman of the Royal Commission to enquire into divorce law and administration, particularly in relation to the poorer classes and the publication of divorce reports. The Archbishop of York, Dr Cosmo Lang, and Lady Frances Balfour, sister of the Duke of have been appointed members of the commission. Lord James, of Hereford, has been appointed chairman of the Royal Commission set up to consider the system of selecting Justices of the Peace irrespective of cr3ed or politics.
