PALMERSTON CATTLE FAIR. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., Palmerston North, report:—At our Palmerston North annual ra'.tle fair on Wednesday we had a yarding of over 1.500 head. Competition for all classes was good throughout the sale, and with tha excepti n of four small pens we effected a clearance under the hammer a"; the following quotations:—Medium fat bullocks £7 15s, forward bullocks £6 9a to £7, 3 and 4-year bullocks £5 14s to £G 2s 6d, 3-year bullocks, low condition, £5, 2 to 2\ year steers £4 6s 6d to £4 9s, yearling steers £2 7s to £32s, P. A. yearling steers £3 Bs, weaner steers 35s to £2 Is, fat cows £4 13s, fat and forward Polled Angus cow? £4 lis, forward 'ow 3 £3 12s to £3 18s (id, store cows £2 10s to £2 17s, 2 year empty heifers £2 lis to £2 16s, yearling heifers £2 to £2 9s, weaner heifers 31s 6d to 355, 2 year Polled Angus heifers £2 18s fid, springing heifers £4.
