METEOROLOGICAL.
Mr J. 0. Boddington reports that the rainfall registered at the Upper Plain for the 24 hours preceding 9 a.m. pn Friday was seven points. By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, October 29. The following is Rev. D. C. Bates' summary and weather forecast:—Weather has been mild and humid over the North Island, and improved in the South, but it has Jbeen misty and showery in several parts. Winds have moderated in the South, and are now light and variable everywhere. Present indications are for a change, with a lail in the barometer, and freshening northerlies everywhere. Conditions are flmewhat more ominous in the North, but the westerly area of low pressure is due to pass in the South on Monday. Warm and humid weather ia probable in the North, and mild and changeable weather in the South.
