PRESENTATION TO MR O'REGAN.
Bv Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, October 22. , J. O'Regan, of Wellington, was entertained to-night by dele gates to the Miners' Federation, and presented with a gold watch, together with a bracelet for Mrs O'Regan. Mr R. Simple, of Greymouth, made the presentation, speaking in high terms of the appreciation of the services rendeied by Mr O'Regan as Attorney to the Miners' Federation, and more particularly to the services given by Mr O'Regan at the time of the trouble in connection with the miners' complaint and the Compensation Act. Mr O'Regan was not then Attorney for the Federation, but being on a holiday on the West Coast at the time took a leading part in the. agitation against the medical examination of the miners, the agitation which led to the Government indemnifying the Government Life lisuranc3 Department against claims arising from Miners' complaints.
