METEOROLOGICAL.
By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, October 19. The following is Rev. Bates' weather summary and forecast:— Except on the West Coast of the South Island and during the night in the southernmost parts the weather has been fair everywhere. The winds changed to the westward over the North Island and more northerly in the South, a»*d freshened generally. The barometer has fallen low in the South, and risen in the Noith, so that the gradients are steepened, and a heavy westerly gale ia now probable south of Kawhia, and Castlepoint, and high westerlies elsewhere. Rflin is probable south ot Kawhia and Castlepoint, and a further fall in the baroneter everywhere.
