A sensational accident occurred in the Consolidated mine- afr. Bendigo, on the 16th of last- month. Three miners named! Davies,. Darcy and Allen, were engaged in sinkine a shaft. Two shots were put in, ar d the men ascended to the plat above. As Allen reached the plat he missed his footing,, and fell to the bottom. Instantly Davies rushed down the ladder,, despite the iaet that the charges were due to explode at any moment.
