The fight for the Heavy-weight Championship of the World between Jack Johnson (the present champion) and Stanley KeSchell, took place at Coma t" day. In the twelfth round the champion knocked out Ketehell amid grea excitement.

SAN FRANCISCO, October 17.
Ketehell put up a plucky fight and showed cleverness in stopping the champion's leads. Johnston floored him in the sixth round, bu-t he came
up smiling. In; the 7th Ketehell swung a terrible left that raised a bfg lump on the champion's jaw. It was the best blow of the fight, and the crowd cheered lustily. The champion had the best of the next three rounds, and inflicted a lot of punishment on Ketehell. In the 11th round Ketehell forced the fighting, but was uriaole to penetrate Johnson's defence, and went to his corner badly battered in the face. In the 12th. Ketehell rushed the champion, who stumbled, and rose and sprang at Ketehell.. Catching the latter off his guard Johnson planted a left on the body and: two rights on the head, flooring Ketehell, who was counted out.
