CARTERTON NEWS.

(From Our Resident reporter). Friday. The Waiohine Bridge at South Carterton is at present undergoing repairs. An invitation to attend the annual show of the Wairarapa Pastoral and Agricultural Society has been extended to the delegates attending the Imperial Chamber of Commerce Conference, and nho are to visit Wellington. The Tararua Tennis Courts are to be opened to-morrow afternoon. The settlers on the Carrington Estate have made some creditable improvements since they have taken up their sections. In several cases, up-to-date dwellings have been erected. They all appear we'l satisfied with their prospects.
