TE WHARAU NOTES.
(From a Correspondent). The school attendance here during the last week is a record for the district. The half day attendances numbered 217 out of a possible 220. Mr R. Barrer, of Lowlands, is about to make extensive alterations to his homestead. " Rev. L. Thompson, of Carterton held church service here last Sunday, and there vras a large attendance. The Wiremu Whatakorau estate startsshearing here on the 14th inst, 'of this month.
