The Anglican Synod opened *j day* A large portion of Bishop Neligan's charge dealt with the aims and objects of organised capital and organised labour, and the relations of the church thereto. On the subject of marriage, the Bishop warned members of the Anglican communion against contracting marriages with women Catholics, especially in view of the attitude of that church towards mixed marriages.
