(From' Our Resident Reporter). Monday. A man named Chalraerß had two fingers taken off and one badly lacerated through getting one of his hands caught in a planing machine at Zillwood's to-day. Despite the overcast appearance, the weather on Saturday proved finenot a drop of rain falling till about Beven o'clock in tha evening. Several showers more or less heavy were ex • Deiienced during the night and early this morning, but the weather is otherwise quite mild. Lsttle if any interest is at present doing in''the district, practically the only energetic work being that carried out by canvassers for the new co-operative company.
