WEAK-MINDED YOUTH. Received October 5, 1 a.m. N3W YORK, October 4. President Taft'a assailant was a youth named Arthur Wright, of respectable parentage but weakminded. The. police state that Wright followed President Taft about in six cities. A cablegram yesterday morning stated that President Taft was entering an automobile at Portland to participate in a military parade, when a man in the crowd tried desperately to reach the President, ostensibly for the purpose of taking a portrait. The man was arrested, and waa found in possession of a six-chambered revolver and a quantity of ammunition.
