(From Oar Recent Reporter). Saturday. The milk svflSply at the Mangatainoka cheese factory is stendily increasing, *the daily Bupply now amounting to 1,600 gallons. The -prospectus of the i'ahiatuaAkitio 'Farmers' Association has been-issued. The capital is £15,000 in £1 shares, and already a considerable number of shares have been applied xor. It is proposed to acquire , the old established business of Messrs J. J. W. Sturton and Co,. *t one time carried on by Messrs J. Graham and Co. The prospectus Has been filed in Wellington. The Pahiatua bowling green is in j Ifirst-dass order, and is now ready for playing on. Mr Mcßratney, the caretaker, deserves great credit or the manner in which **e teas looked after the green. The plain and fancy ctoesß ball held In the Hukanui Hall last evening was a greHt success. Mr P. G. Moore bad uhe misfortune to twist one of his knee caps whifih necessitated Ma staying in bed for a week. He is now out and able to attend to his business. The rain of Thursday >and yesterday caused a o'* rafale fr.-> m the Mangahao River, and also brought down several small sips at the Bluff on the Makomako Koad. !Feed is very plentiful in the Makomako district, and young lambs are looking in splendid condition.} The dairy farmers are also getting good Returns from their cows, annd so far everything points to a successful tfflstson in the (district. There was no meeting of the Vahiatua Chamber of Commerce last evening, but a meeting will be held at an early date.
