ROUGH WEATHER PREDICTED.
By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, October 3. Rev. Mr Bates, Government Meteorologist, reports that an extensive area of low pressure from the westward is now spreading over the country, and will probably cause very unsettled weather everywhere during" the early part of this week. A fall of nearly half an inch in pressure and a W.S.W. moderate gale is reported to-night at the Bluff. The wind has changed to the northward and is freshening over the v North Island. A N.W, gale has prevailed at Wellington since midnight. Heavy northerly and westerly winds and a squall with rain are prubable everywhere, especially on the West Coast and in Cook Straits.
