The receipts of the five test cricket matches between Australia and England are stated to be as follows: — £ Birmingham 1,572 Lord's 4,720 Leeds 2,744 Manchester 3,153 Kennington Oval 4,206 Total 16,395 The Australians' moiety of the gross "gate" is £5,451 (?). The first -class countries and Marylebone each receive £3OB, the grounds where the tests were played £523, and the minor counties £45.
