WIRELESS TELEGRAPHY.
MARCONI STATIONS PURCHASED BY BRITISH GOVERNMENT.
Received October 1, 9.40 p.m. LONDON, October 1. Mr Sydney Buxton, PostmasterGeneral, has annuonced that the Post Office has bought the Marconi coast stations, except those at Poldhu and Chfden, whi:h are for shore-to shore communication with America, for £15,000, including the ethergraph improvements during the next fourteen years The Post Office has also purchased Lloyd's system of communication with ships. Lloyd's are entitled to information regarding tiie movements of ships. The Post Office might use any ethergraph system, and, moreover, in war time the two long distance stations are included n the arrangement.
