DOMINION DAY.
By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON. Sept. 26.
Dominion Day was celebrated today by Church parades on the Basin Reserve, and in various churches, about six hundred men taking part. CHRISTCHURCH, September 25.
The third celebration of Dominion Day, so far as Christchurch is concerned, will, it appears, be confined to a Church parade of the troops of the Christchurch garrison at the Cathedral in the morning, and parades of Opawa and Sydenham Public School Cadets. The Mayor has not requested the citizens to observe a holiday on Monday, and so far as can be ascertained none of the schools will be closed to mark the anniversay.
