LONDON September, i! 4. Leslie Tarleton, an Australian, who served in the South African War, joined Mr Theodore Roosevelt's hunting party at Kapiti, in British East Africa.

Mr Roosevelt writes in his article in the "Daily Telegraph" thatTarle ton is a famous hunter, who had never visited England. It was exceedingly interesting to meet men who typified in their lives and deeds the greatness of the British Empire, yet who had never seen England.
