' The second day's racing in connection with the Avondale Jockey Club's spring meeting took place today, the following being the results:— Second Handicap Hurdles, one mile and threequarters —Swagsman 1, Kaitangata 2, Commander 3. Also started—Ben Jonson, Newtown, Leo, Master Paul, Te Kahui, Good Faith. Won by a length and a half. President's Handicap, six furlongs. —Tetrazzini 7.6, 1; Imprimus 7.5, 2; Dugger Bank 9.0, 3.
