A MYSTERY.
By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, September 15. Mr Arthur Lynch, a solicitor in the employ o$ Messrs Skerrett and Wyllie, was picked up in an unconscious condition at about 10.30 o'clock last night at the foot of Hill street, near the gate of the old Parliament House grounds. He was found to be suffering from some devere scalp wounds, and was removed to tne Hospital. Soma blood was noticed on the footpath, and close by was found the blood stained works of a watch believed to have Belonged to Mr Lynch. The hands nad stopped at 10.20. Two of Mr Lynch's teeth were broken, and his spectacles were also damaged. He regained consciousness this morning, and was able to leave the Hospital this afternoon. The police have been so far unable to find out anything further.
