Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd.. report on their Ekctahuna sale, held yesterday, as follows: —We had a very large yarding of cattle, the entry being greatly in excess of advertised numbera, and we have to report a successful sale. We quote: —Springing cows, £5 15s 6d to £6;, empty cows, £2 2s to £2 10s; springing heifers, best, £4 5s to £6; springing heifers, others, £2 16s, £3 to £3 lis; empty heifers, £2 10s, £2 14s 6d, £3 0s 6d. £3 7s 6d to £4 ss; 2-year steers, £3 3s 6d to £3 ?s 6d; 2£-year steers, £4 5s to,£4 7s; 18-month steers £3 4s 6d.

Messrs Dalgety and Co. report having held their fortnightly sale at Eketahuna yesterday, and also a private clearing sale of dairy cows on account Mr l£elliher on September 9th. They report:—These cows sold well, anything well forward making good money. Best cows sold to £6 15s, others from £4 upwards, Friday's sale. We did not have our advertised entry of sheep; only one line of hoggets coming forward which sold at late rates, making lQs lOd. We had a heavy yarding of cattle, and met with a dragging sale. We quote:—Two-year steers, £3 Is 6d; eirpty cows, £2 14s 6d; mixed weaners. 21s to 365; 2J-year empty heifers, £2 12s 6d; springing heifers, £3 10a, £4, £4 12s 6d to £5 ss: dairy cows, £4 to £5 2s 6d; light fat cows, £4.
