"DRINK."
An announcement appears in the advertising columns to the effect that Messrs T. E Taylor and Henry Hayware' have made exclusive arrangements with Mr T, J, West for a tour ot the Dominion, with the famous art study "Drink." This study has been adapted from Emil Zola's celebrated work "L'Assomoir," a work that has always been recognised as being one of the most powerfully written stories of human passion from the pen of this eminent author. This picture has been compiled and ! arranged by Pathe Freres and is classed amongst their art studies. The artists employed in these studies have been specially engaged and carefully chosen to dehnete the characters in which they appear, thereby ensuring a descriptive excellence which needs no dialogue to explain their mission. This picture will be shown in the Town Hall on Monday, September 20th, and will be supported by an interesting selection of scenic, dramatic and humourous re ■ liefs,
